Configuration Management Day 2 - How to review router configuration ? In Cisco IOS, it has two default configuration files:  (1) startup-config: is used for initialization of router boot up process   (2) running-config.  is the real-time concurrent configuration repository whenever you type any commands in IOS. And how do you differentiate screen output is the startup-config or running-config ?

Beginning April 1, 2010, Cisco will allow Cisco 360 Learning Program students who attend a Cisco CCIE® Routing and Switching or CCIE Voice workshop to request a waiver and skip the  Core Knowledge Section  of the CCIE lab exam.  All waiver requests must be approved by the workshop instructor.  No end date for the Core Knowledge Waiver has been announced, but Cisco will provide at least 60 days’ notice before discontinuing the waiver. During a Cisco 360 Learning Program workshop, students complete a series of performance assessments that demonstrate their understanding of the CCIE material and serve the same purpose as the Core Knowledge section of the exam.  Therefore, Cisco 360 Learning Program students who use the waiver will not be required to type out answers to the Core Knowledge questions and will be allowed to move immediately to the next section of the lab exam. 等了很久，終於等到這一封邀請信 - CCIE Lunch Invitation 。 傳聞在Cisco Networker活動中都會有一場聚會，與會人員是來自世界各地的CCIE，主持人通常是Cisco金字塔高層主管，可以想見這個活動一定是意義非凡(如果各位是比較資深的CCIE應該也曾經參加過台灣思科主辦的CCIE Club活動，可惜的是無以後繼，CCIE Club就這樣地悄悄消失於地球的表面，只留下每人一只Cisco Logo紀念錶) 再過一個多星期就要準備踏上朝聖的道路，心中充滿期待與興奮…(只要是出遠門心情就會不自主的亢奮起來)

在我還沒有考上R&S CCIE之前一直有個夢想可以參加一次Cisco Networker，好好地看一下台灣以外的世界級研討會到底是個什麼樣子? 終於去年VUE辦的Instructor rewards的獎品讓我眼睛為之一亮(感謝Chris熱心宣傳，不然我根本連參加資格都沒有，自己主動去跟VUE爭取要求參加這個instructor rewards活動)，因為頭獎就是Cisco Networker 2009免費門票，經過許多同學的幫助終於讓我如願以償(魚幫水，水幫魚囉)! 不過VUE真的是一個動作反應慢三拍的公司，我算了一下，光是我追這個Cisco Networker 2009 Promotion code大概就發了超過10封(而且我後來還加了一些cc給VUE的其他窗口)，VUE大概只回了3封，不過好事好磨，終於在今天早上收到了確認信，因此馬上給它去註冊了。 不過在註冊的過程中發生了一個小插曲，那就是在註冊的過程中如果選取了CCIE資格反而就沒有辦法看到AU$0.0的選項，所以後來只好暫時不選取CCIE資格先完成免費註冊程序再補通知Cisco Networker主辦單位了(為什麼要輸入CCIE的資料呢，因為Cisco Networker通常會有一場CCIE Meeting大會，只開放給Active狀態的CCIE參加，可以直接跟大頭面對面談話，也可以領到CCIE Logo的紀念品。而且最酷的是你的英文全名及CCIE號碼會被打在跑馬燈上喔~) http://www.cisco.com/web/ANZ/cisconw/attendees/ccie/index.html 完成了註冊程序之後就立刻收到了一封回信，信件中的附件就是Cisco Networker註冊Invoice資料。有人說最近去參加賑災可以領到高鐵車票，上面寫著NT$0。小弟也是一樣，收到一份AU$0.0的收據憑證。 至於後續的Cisco Network 2009花絮就等我到時再慢慢分享給各位吧!
